  • Contact: International Doctoral School: doctorado@uclm.es
  • This PhD program does not include formal or compulsory classroom training. The training phase must be included in the master's degree that give access to the PhD program which starts directly at the research phase that is, to the completion of the Doctoral Thesis. The EID-UCLM offers optional training activities. Training activities (participation in congresses, publication of papers, methodological training activities, mobility programs, etc.), as well as the Research Plan must be agreed with the thesis director and included each year in the Register of Activities (RAPI).
  • For this PhD Program it is essential that the initial research plan must be endorsed by a researcher of the Program in the Presentation Document included in the documentation. Without this endorsement it will not be possible to admit you to the Program. A future PhD student must contact the doctor professor through the UCLM directory or departmental websites. If there is no previous contact through a master´s degree, it is important to check the different interests’ areas of the professors by using databases such as Academic Google, Dialnet, etc.

This PhD program is multidisciplinary, and it integrates different research areas of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences: Education from different UCLM departments divided into five teams:

  • GROUP 1: MATERIAL, SOCIO-POLITICAL AND CULTURAL HISTORY: FROM PREHISTORY TO THE PRESENT.
  • GROUP 2: PHILOSOPHICAL STUDIES.
  • GROUP 3: RESEARCH IN ARTS AND COMMUNICATION.
  • GROUP 4: EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND INNOVATION.
  • GROUP 5: ANALYSIS AND LAND USE PLANNING.

EID-UCLM has an attention program for international students which facilitates all the different procedures from abroad.

The Academic Commission of the PhD Program has an academic function linked to admission, the renewal of academic supervision and procedures for the defense of doctoral theses. Formal matters are handled by the International Doctoral School of the UCLM.
