Doctoral candidates interested in changing their study arrangements for the completion of the thesis for which they are enrolled (from full-time to part-time or vice versa) must submit their application through the UCLM website, which can be accessed at the link above. Access to the procedure does not require an electronic certificate, and it may be gained using the student's credentials.
Approval from the thesis supervisor must have been obtained (only that of the main supervisor is required), and this should be attached to the application as a PDF. The supervisor's agreement, for which the form available below may be used, must be properly signed (with an electronic signature or, for this procedure, handwritten on the printed document and scanned in its entirety, with the original being retained in case it is required at any point during the procedure).

Approval by thesis supervisor(s) for change in study arrangement for the doctoral thesis
Once the application is received through the website, the EID will process the application with the programme academic committee and obtain approval from the same. It will then proceed to commit the change to the student's record. The student will be able to follow the processing and resolution of the application through his or her personal area at the website.
NOTES:
- If the change is authorized, it will take effect from the next renewal of enrolment. Exceptionally, a change in study arrangements may be allowed during the academic year when there are circumstances to justify this.
- A change in the study arrangements implies a recalculation of the time remaining to defend the thesis, which will be computed on a pro rata basis according to the new arrangements.
- Extension periods will maintain the study arrangements of the last year of enrolment for the ordinary period: it is not possible to change the arrangements in the extension periods.
